My friends from Ecuador have always been a great source of music – they constantly send me a range of tunes, everything from a Tiesto remix to Brazilian smooth Jazz (Thank god for foreign friends!!). A while back they sent me the song ‘La Realite’ by Amadou & Miriam. I particularly love blasting this song because I have absolutely no idea what they’re saying but it sounds sexy and fun.
This past weekend, a friend reintroduced A&M into my life with the song ‘Sabali.’ It is right up my alley and hopefully yours– it has a really sassy sound; a modern electronic vibe mixed with a chill out component that only foreigners can pull off. The story behind the Duo is just as interesting as the music. Check It! – NPR (http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=102383925).
